5:31a – Welcome.
Mosey to pier for the view, the breeze, and some rotten fish smell. I heard mumblings about being at the “coolest” location on SSI – Not sure as it was very HUMID.
SSH, in cadence or so I thought. I day drifted off a few times while counting and the motions didn’t align. Blackberry duly noted.
Tappy Taps – slow count
Finkle Kicks. I was pleasantly surprised these have become a regular for many warmups
Merkin ladder w/ 5 sec pause at top. 1 merkin – pause, 2 merkins pause, 3, 4,5. Then back down. That sucked.
Lunge/squat to end of pier and back. Everyone interpreted the 1 to 4 count ; 1 /4, 2/8, 3/12 or just the squats increased or I was doing a much harder 2x multiplier (until I lost count) 1 /4, 2/8, 4/16…
Now, we are ready to begin.
50 squats – sprint, mosey, slowsey to end of covered pier.
40 Plank Jacks (2count) – run back to center of pier
30 Peter Parkers – run to end of cover
20 Am. Hammers (4 count)– run to center of pier
10 Carolina Dry Docks (4 count) – run to end of cover
5 Burbees – run to center pier
Speed run -sprints between sets
25 squats – sprint to pier end
20 plank jacks (2 count) – sprint to other end
20 Peter Parkers – sprint to other end
10 Am Hammer (4 count) – sprint to other end
10 Carolina dry docks (4 count) – sprint to other end
5 Burbees – sprint to center
Speed walk through covered area
6 min of Mary – Pax choice
Life gets in the way. We get busy, distracted, lazy, or just tired. I was all of the above. Its really good to get back into a routine and hand out in the GLOOM.
