Battle Buddies (Heavy Edition)

This morning, I arrived at the AO early. I wanted to knock out a few miles and spend some QT with the Sky Q.  The lord was working overtime this morning.  My First 15 daily devotional app was about how we are supposed to do life with others and in groups. I was listening to Surrounded, This is how I fight my battles…. I’m telling you men, if you’ll put some ear plugs in and block the earthly noise the Lord will speak directly to you.

As I was rucking, I realized I was caught in the moment and had to run back to the AO!  I arrived in time and we had an even number of 8 PAX for Battle Buddies 2.0.  We mosey’d from the flag, around the cedar, up the steps, toward brogens, back to Flag.

COP: 20 Side Straddle Hops IC, 15 Smurf Jacks IC, 10 Weed Pickers IC, and 5 8-Count Bodybuilders.

We Slowsey back to Cedar tree and partnered up.  One partner was instructed “pick a rock”  While 1 Battle Buddy did work, the other ran from Cedar up the steps, to the left toward our vehicles, and then back to Cedar.

Tha Work, as prescribed….. 500 WW1 Sit-ups, 400 Squats with Rock, 300 4-Count Flutter Kicks w/ Rock pressed, 200 Merkins, 100 Rock Burpees. YHC and D2 wore rucks.

We were in awe of the pure splendor of the sunrise,,, prettiest AO in all of F3 nation!

During the first part of our workout, we had a guest.  He joined Catnip and I for the WW1SUP.  He did work with me, and put out.  When we would mosey we mumdlechatter a little, and talk about what he had going on. He could only stay for the 500 WW1SU, and then had to head out.  Probably the only time I’d let some LIFO slide.

We didn’t complete the beatdown, we were all into the Flutters, and I called time with about 10 min to spare.  I wanted to read part of my devotional.

God didn’t design you to do life on your own. Scripture is fillde with exhortations to engage in community with fellow believers. Galations 6:2 says, Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.  Psalm 133:1-3 says, Behold, how good and plesant it is when brothers dwell in unity!… For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.  and Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.  For if they fail, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!  Again, if tow lie together, they keep warm, but how can you keep warm alone?  And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him – a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Men,  we were treated by the presence of a true WARRIOR this morning!  Every time i would think about how these Sit-ups sucked, or why I chose to wear my ruck for the mosey and it sucked….. I would look to my left there was a man that was released from the hospital last week.  A man who has a TESTimony.  A man that literally battling for his life.  A man that chose to get up, pay the man, and hang with us a few minutes.  He could have stood around, but he wanted in on the action.  Before he left, he stopped me to tell the PAX of F3 St Simons THANK YOU….  He took time to tell you THANK YOU for our continued prayers of support and healing.  He promised he would be back and I am going to hold Tim Carlson accountable.   I look forward to having Tim join us very soon! The man is a walking inspiration, and since I was Q for at least part of his FNG workout, I am going to give him the nickname U-Dub short for ULTIMATE WARRIOR.  Because he is.

If Tim can join us for a beatdown, what’s your excuse?  Probably not that good….. Hope to see you all Monday 12-10-18 at 5:30am SSI Pier.
