On a balmy Saturday morning we have 9 brave souls show up and show out!  3 visitors, a kotter (Tinman), and a devious Q.

Mosey to SSUMC – 25/15/9 PAX completed 25 Hand Release Merkins, 25 tickle your bits squats (below parallel full range squats, which Rosebud modifies everytime), 25 Big Boy Sit-ups.  Then 15 Reps of each, the 9 reps of each.

Mosey back to Pier – rinse, wash and repeat 25/15/9

Mosey to Mallery Park – rinse, wash, repeat 25/15/9

Mosey back to Pier and hammer out as many of the 25/15/9  during the song “You can’t Stop Me” by Andy Meneo.

During the Mosey I learned that Marvick and Stringer (F3 Charlotte) were here last year for Twinkles Toes Q after he shaved his head, and that Maverick does men’s bootcamp in Perry, GA!  Pretty stoked, since I travel there for work.  We also  had St 2.0 from F3 Atlanta.

Prayer Requests – Stinger and Maverick’ family’s retreat at Epworth, Bible Camp, and Manna House.

I read Hebrews 12:11-13 “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained in it.  Therefore, strenghten your feeble arms and weak knees. Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

Followed by the following from Theodore Roosevelt’s “Citizenship in a Republic” known as “The Man in the Arena”

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.” 

I challenged the PAX to be Men of God in the Arena of life…. fight the good fight, and level paths for those to weak so that they may walk unhindered.
