What’s your favorite Shrimp and Grits dish?

Nice morning… calm water, sky was slightly overcast but clearing.  Seven men decided to start their day out right.  After a quick disclaimer we started.

Mosey to the pier then back to the playground/whales for a quick warmup.  Walking lunges start at the whales and continue to the lighthouse.

I quickly told the PAX that based on mumble chatter and comments from past workouts I decided to push the tempo quicker than I would regularly workout… for them.  I think they enjoyed it.

Merkins x 26 – IC, Imperial Walkers x 30 – IC, LBC’s x 30 OYO, Big Boy Sit-ups x 20 IC, Flutter Kicks x 35 – IC, Boat / Canoe x 10 – IC, Little Baby Arm Circles Forward x 30, Reverse x 30, Moroccan Night Clubs x 30, then hold for a slow 10 count.

Mosey to SSUMC for a modified version of Mind Bender’s Carousel.  Starting at parking lot across from church 10 burpees then run up down and around drop off area, then repeat with 9 burpees, repeat until 0.  During the activity there was a very brief refreshing rainstorm that passed through, a little encouragement.

Simon Says run back to flags.  Mosey, High jumps, Mosey, Side Shuffle, switch sides, backwards, sprint, mosey, high knees, butt kickers, then mosey to flag.

Modified version of Inmate’s Plank-o-rama.  Each man call out his favorite plank position, favorite shrimp dish, grits dish and what he is thankful for.  (Special thanks to Rosebud for listing out each and every ingredient for his dishes, as well as telling us how to prepare them.)

We finished out with a modification of Hee Haw’s Smoke House at the big picnic tree.  Declines x 5, Merkins x 10, Inclines x 15, Dips x 20, LBC’s x 25, rinse & repeat if needed.

Normal announcements and Prayer Request went out to kids cancer month and some specific kids.
