These famous words by Henry Ford came into my head as three of us braved the swampy gloom this AM for a simple but intense old school (pun intended) beatdown.
The Thang:
Mosey to the roundabout for COP
- SSH x 25
- Merkins x 10
- Prisoner squats x 16
- Carolina dry docks x 10
- IW x 15
- LBCs x 20
Mosey to the bus lane catwalk for 11s
- Burpees at one end
- Lunges at the other
Mosey back to base

Great work out there by a small but committed crew. Today was one of those times where I was mentally scrambling to plan more stuff for my Q, thinking I didn’t have enough material for 45 minutes. But 11s on a 100 yard straightaway kept us busy and proved to be plenty of beatdown to fill time.
Tin Man shared the cheat code for turbo mode on 11s: C E R T I F I E D B U R G E R. Make sure you’re out in front of whoever is activating this turbo mode
As we were pushing through the 11s, I mentioned a training philosophy epitomized by the Navy SEALs. This has been shared before but here it is again for anyone interested http://thehustle.co/40-percent-rule-navy-seal-secret-mental-toughness
